Tattoo with children's names?
I want to get a tattoo with my children's names on it. Something small, on my ankle. Any ideas?
Tattoo with children's names?
cursive
Reply:They have lots of wonderful script these days just play with there names on your computer try changing the script till you find one you like. My husband has one of our sons footprint from the day he was born with his name on it. You could do a star, heart, butterfly.
I wouldn't do your ankle if this is your first tat cause it will hurt.
Reply:Here is a link to a gallery of photos of tattoos that moms have of their kids names... not saying all of them are good, it might just give you some ideas.

Reply:Cursive with maybe a flower coming off it if it is a grl
Reply:You shouldn't.
unless it's in a privite area.
cause tattoo names are overrated and trashy.

Name suggestion for baby #3 that will go with our other 2 children's names (Joshua Tyler) & (Keira Elizabeth)?
Parents names also start with J and K, but not sure that we want to continue on that route. Also Baby #3 is a GIRL.
Name suggestion for baby #3 that will go with our other 2 children's names (Joshua Tyler) %26amp; (Keira Elizabeth)?
you should continue with that beccause you don't want that child to be the oddball of the family.because i know someone who feels left out from her family due to the same situation.you could go with a J first name and K middle name or vice versa.
cant really think of any names.sorry
Reply:For the letter J, I like the name Joyce.
For the letter K, I like the name Kiandra
Then if you put them together, it could be Kiandra Joyce. I love that! It would be nice to have the third child have both K and J

Do You Like My Future Children's Names?
I don't understand at all peoples' blind fascination with using completely unrelated other peoples' last names for their kids' first names. Unless you have a grandparent who was born with the Madison surname (or Tyler, Taylor, Landon, ...), why give it to your kid?
Do You Like My Future Children's Names?
If you have to put a parentheses around the pronunciation for us - you will LIVE doing that for everyone, and your child will resent the name and, consequently, you.
Don't worry about the stupid name. Worry more about the child you are raising. If people worried that much about their babies, maybe the jails wouldn't be overcrowded.
Reply:They appear to be all right but there's no telling how they'll end up with a last name. Wouldn't want to have Franka if your last name is Furter.
Frankly, I agree with the answer above. If you have to put in parenthesis to pronounce it, don't do it. I don't understand what it is with some of the names these days. Do you think Keely isn't going to be changed to Keeler and Kneely and Steely? How many times do you want to tell people that Vaughn is pronounced Vawn and not Van? He's going to be Vaughn the Fawn real quick.
But, they're what you want. Go for it. The relatives never liked the names I picked, either. Can't please everyone.
Reply:no offense but shouldn't dad get some say in the matter too?
Reply:If I knew the name I would happily tell you.
Reply:I like all of them..have fun with 6 kids! When my step-kids and my kids are all together I have 4! WOW!
God Bless!
Reply:probably not...since you havent named them!!
Reply:What are the names?
Reply:If you ever have to specifically tell someone how to pronounce the name (the ones in the parenthises), that's a good way to tell that the kid is going to have a difficult time in school!
I honestly think that all the girl names are the trendy ones that will fall out of favour in the next couple years, and instead of having a timeless name, your daughter could be stuck with a dated name! The boy names don't strike me as being that way (as much), and I quite like Landon Robert!
Reply:Boys-Good
Girls-Ummm... Maybe work on that a little.
Reply:Not sure. Some are adorable while others are cheesy (no offense). I love the name Gretta Lynn for a girl
Reply:They are pretty girls' and handsome boys' names, however, try and see the public view of naming them these names that don't sound the way they are spelled.
as someone who was almost a teacher and works in school in a smaller capacity, it is difficult to call a child during attendance just by seeing his or her name on a daily chart. And if you want the respect of others who will sign the child's name properly on gift tags, birthday cards, etcetera, it may not be a bad idea to make the name spell how it sounds, or else don't be too fussy when strangers accidentally call the child's name incorrectly. People who know you will get it right eventually, the doctors, teachers, family and friends but until they get used to it....there's your choice. Happiness in your future, and good luck.
Reply:well there not great. I like Keely for the girl its cute. Boys I like Landon and Vaughn. Your middle names are odd but then again no one will proably hear them. If you want to do the hollywood thing and give your kid a weird name...do them a favor and make it the middle name!
Congrats on your baby!
Reply:I really like the names, but for the longer ones... make sure you know what you want their names shortened too. My parents gave me a name 4 sylable, 7 letter name, but called me Lani for short. That's what I've been called sence
Reply:i think the names are very nice, and unique which is great. there is nothing wrong with taking sometime to think about future children's names
Reply:I like the name Franka! It reminds me of the actress with that name :] And Keeley Marie is really pretty.
The boys names are pretty good. The middle name that's hard to pronounce, is that a family name? It's very unusual.
Reply:ummm. what are the names?
Reply:Girls:
Franka Adelina- Very nice! I slightly prefer Franka as a nickname, but I'm loving the combo too much. Sounds exotic and foreign. It has alot of character. Otherwise, I'd like Francesca with the nickname Franka.
Catalina Aulynn- Catalina is lovely (I also like Caterina.) I never heard Aulynn before. Is this legit? I do like it, even though it's not my usual style.
Keeley Marie- Not my style! I am sorry, but this name does not compete with the other two. This is kind of predictable and trendy.
Boys:
Landon Robert- Landon is nice, but becoming (or currently is) popular. Robert is not a name I like, but it sounds fine as the middle name.
Vaughn Young- LOVE Vaughn. I do not like Young as middle name, though. Both of them sound like surnames and they sound choppy together. How about Vaughn Robert? Vaughn Michael?
Michael Giosue- I think Michael needs an exotic middle name like Giosue to liven it up. So, good pick. I never heard Giosue before. I am not sure if it's legit or your own creation. But it works!
Overall favorites: Franka %26amp; Vaughn (Catalina is a close second, though!)
Reply:There alright...I like the boys names better though!!!
Reply:How about first name Franka, middle name Stein.

Who selected your children's names ?
did you use abook,or family names, etc
Who selected your children's names ?
my parents got my name by...
opening the bible to a random page, closed their eyes and then put their finger down, my name was almost "the", but they desided to try again and got Daniel
Reply:I selected it. Got idea from soap opera.......Bianca
Reply:my son is name after both grandpa's and my daughter is named after my wife's favrotie singer
Reply:i selected both of my kids names. christian james for my little boy is 5 now and caitlyn elizabeth for my little girl who is 10 months.
james is a family name and so is elizabeth.
Reply:1 daughters name came from a map in the bible , my 2nd daughters name was just a common name %26amp; my 3rd daughters name came from the movie matrix reloaded :)

Reply:I chose my daughter's name after she was born. It was kind of funny because the name I chose was not one of my choices, but she really looked like a Taylor when I first saw her. :)
Reply:With my daughters name, I couldn't decide. So we put all the names in a bowl, and my husband, my father in law and my mother in law picked one out. Then out of those three I pulled one out of the bowl and that was it! Mariah Katherine, beautiful, huh?
Reply:used family names and the bible
Reply:we havent chosen ours yet but we going to use the fathers middle name as the childs first name, such as "ryan" to carry on a family, thing. lol.
but for a girl. it would be the same with my middle name as her first, etc.
Reply:for my first one i picked out the name and well for the second one im picking the first name but getting help on the middle names
Reply:My son's first name was the only male name my husband and I could agree on, but my husband chose his middle name, which was also my hanband and his father's middle name.
Reply:My husband and I just went through the alphabet naming names until we came to a decision on the name. It was a fun way to do it.
Reply:I picked out my daughters name. I named her after the two most influential people in my world. My best friend in high school taught me how to be a good person and my best friend after high school taught me how to have fun so I picked the first name of one and middle name of the other. Kerri Dale. Love it.
Reply:My husband and I picked them (1 for a boy, and 1 for a girl) ourselves the week we found out I was pregnant. We didn't tell anyone the names, or the sex of the baby until our son was born and my husband went into the waiting room and announced "It's a BOY!!"
Reply:first child was named after his father: Matthew Kendall
second child i used my best friend's last name for his first name and my grandfather's name for the middle: Chace Howard
third child's name came from a baby name book and a family name for middle: Connor Allen
fourth child i overheard someone with the first name and i really liked it and then i used my deceased grandmother's name for the middle: Kiersten Helon
we are going through invitro fertilization to have one more (or two if both eggs implant properly) we plan to use my grandmother's maiden name for the first name and my greatgrandmother's maiden name for the middle (if it's a boy): Drake Elsworth
if we had twin boys same rules apply but the other side of the family: Foster Lafayette
girl(s) i just like the first name, i saw it on an on-line baby name study and the middle names are my husband's mother's and grandmother's: Pagan Jean-Natee'
if it's twins, the first name would be another of my dearest friends last name from childhood and another grandmother's name as the middle: Page Josepine-Jolie
Reply:I had afew names in mind, but also looked at some baby name books as well. There are so many different and wonderful names,I had a hard time deciding which ones were the best.I wanted to make sure that the names would sound good together with the middle and last names too.If a name sounded weird when putting it all together I went on to look further.
I picked Samantha for my first child,Ryan for my second and Brooke for my third.
Reply:I selected my oldest son's name, we both selected our middle son's name, and my husband selected our youngest's name.
Our oldest is a junior - named after my husband (I chose it, my husband didn't want a junior).
Our middle son's first name is named after my uncle who passed away when I was 2. His middle name is for my brother in law.
Our youngest, my husband is named named after his best friend.
Reply:For my sons name I went to a book but my daughter I had her name picked out when I was 12 I named her after my great grandmother, grandmother %26amp; mother
Reply:My wife and I did! (for all 3!) (internet and books)
Reply:when my oldest was born, we had names picked out based on our fathers middle names, several ultrasounds showed a boy. Surprise, we had a girl and no name. There was a radio on in the delivery room and the song Amanda, by Boston was playing, so that became her name along with her moms middle name. When my youngest was concieved my wife had a tumor and I knew there were to be no more kids, another girl so we named her Nicole, the femine form of mine and my grandfathers name.
Reply:We named our first daughter after my grandma and my second from a book.
