Do you think the meaning of names shapes the children's destiny?

A long time ago, people didn't name their babies because they liked the name, they named it because of the meaning. If you read names in the Bible, they names were usually of what job they did, or what job they were born into. Names were an identification of who you were. Also what the parents were going through, a poor daughter was named Un-pitied in Hosea, and Judah means Praise, because Lea thought her husband would love her now. Her sister Rachel name means Ewe, she was a shepherdess. She was named what she was born into.

Today, you probably won't find it in America, but go to other countries and you will find people who still name their kids to the meaning of the name. I think I will name mine to the meaning, and give them something extrodinary to live up too.

Do you think the meaning of names shapes the children's destiny?
