What's the name of the children's book that allows the child to choose where they go in the book?

I'm looking for the name of a series of books written for children that allows them to choose in the book where they go. I used to read them as a child and am now looking for them for a neice of mine, however can not remember the name of them. Can anyone help?

Reply:Choose Your Own Adventure

You can find them in most libraries. The best ones are written by Edward Packard, the original creator.

If the child likes scary stories, there is also the Choose Your Own Nightmare series. Also, there is the Forgotten Forest series, which is mystical/fantasy based.
Reply:Choose you own adventure is right. We've just starting carrying them again in bookstores and they've started making them for teens now, too.
Reply:I vaguely remember a couple goosebumps books that did that.
