What are your children's names? Do they have meaning?

Mine are:

Gracie Rose 2yo.

Taylor Ann 5 mos.

Riley Jean 5 mos.

Gracie Rose: My grandmother knit a blanket that said Amazing Grace on it, and embroidered roses at the bottom. She said that her name pick was on the blanket, Grace Rose, and we decided to do Gracie to flow better. She was ecstatic!

Taylor Ann: My boyfriend passed when I was 3 mos pregnant with the twins. His name was Tanner, and I kept with the T. I met a woman online and began speaking to her Via email, and she had just lost her husband. I met up with her in person, along with her daughter Taylor. I then went with Taylor. Ann is after my mother MaryAnn.

Riley Jean: My boyfriend's middle name was Russel, so I wanted to keep with the R. My mother in law suggested Riley, and I fell in love with it! Jean is after my mother in law Jean Loretta.

What about you?

What are your children's names? Do they have meaning?
First off i just want to offer my condolences to the loss of your boyfriend. Such a horrible situation to be in esp while pregnant.

My 7-mo-old daughters name is:

Kaylee Addison.

My husband's uncle Lee passed away 2 yrs ago in a motorcycle wreck. He %26amp; my hubby were very close, and my husband wanted to honor him. So we chose Kaylee.

Addison because we both loved the name and were going to make it her first name but while i was pregnant i met a lot of people and seemed like they all had baby girls named Addison and i didnt want her to have 40 in her class, so we made it the middle name :)

My cousin passed away when kaylee was a week and a day old, we were very close, her middle name was Densie, and if i have another little girl denise will most deff be her middle name :)

enjoy those 3 little girls.
Reply:I have been thinking about combining my mother's name Carol with my father's name Dennis, for a girl's name Cariss. My dad died when I was 16, so I would like to honor his name, and I want to honor my mom too. I am also leaning towards Gabriella Elise, which means Gabriella= God is my might and Elise= my God is a vow. She will have the nick name Ella to prevent people from calling her Gabby.
Reply:What beautiful names :)

Chloe is a name that was on my list from the beginning of the pregnancy, we didnt actually pick her name until she was 1 day old LOL Brianna is a name we fell in love with while pregnant with our son, and it was going to be his first name if he was a girl.

Reply:Evan Josley (due any day)

My hubby was really close to his grandpa Wesley Oliver and I was very close to my grandpa Isadore Joseph. WE both wanted to have a name that would remember the two of them so their memories will be continued. I saw that the S was the middle latter in both names and combined them that way getting Josley. We wanted the ability for a short name that would be different and after deciding on EJ we found Evan and it fit.

My lil girls name will be Elleanna Marie (when I have her LOL)

As well as the grandpas we loved their wives our grandmas meant alot. His being Elaine and mine being Eleanore and I lost my sister when I was young and wanted her name in my daughters she was Tanya marie we came up with Elle as it starts both grandmas and Marie for my sis. The anna is a lil different from us just like the Evan is from us.

Thats the history for my children names.
Reply:Selah Minnie (pronouced sell-ah)

Ori Joshua (pronounced Ore-ee)

Matthias Leor (pronounced Ma-thy-as / Lee-or)

Each child has a Hebrew name in honor of my husbands family and each also has a name of a loved one who passed away. I have twins also, their Hebrew names have a connection in their similar meanings.

Selah is a biblical word from psalms whose meaning is unknown, best guess is that it's a pause for reflection or an affirmation of the verses it follows. I found this word in a novel (Willa Cather-O Pioneers) that I was reading when I was pregnant with her. Minnie was my great-grandmother (died when I was 12).

Ori is Hebrew and means 'my light' and Joshua is for a friend of mine and my husbands (from college) who passed shortly after he graduated.

Matthias is my great-grandfathers name (Minnie's husband-died when I was 7) and Leor is Hebrew and means 'light unto me'.
