What are your children's names and how did you choose them?

My son is Leo Maddox.


We chose Leo because he was originally supposed to be Cleo, because up until his birth we were told he was a girl. Cleo was after my grandmother Cleo Louise Magdalene, and when he came out as a boy I was not naming him Cleo, so we went with Leo instead. He was originally Cleo Madelyn, and Maddox was a cute name close to Magdalene (where we got Madelyn from) and it went well. So we named him Leo Maddox, and it fits him SO well!

that's so cute! ummm... well i don't have any kids yet but i know what i would like to name them! = )





Cheyenne Louise-love the name Cheyenne. Louise is a family tradition


Cadden Thomus-i think it cute!


Blake Owen- just cuz i love it


Audrey Elizabeth- just cuz i love it


Noah Alexander- i love the name Noah and Alexander after my grandpa


Katrina Jane-After my sister, Katrina instead of Kayla tho


Then my first son will be after his father lol = )
Reply:Our first was nearly a Cleo, but he was a boy too, and he is now Benjamin (after Benjamin Bunny. Beatrix Potter is a distant relative)





Our second is Ruthie after 'Housekeeping' the book and film





Our third is Esther Beth after Meet me in St Louis and Little Women.
Reply:Our first is James Braxton- James after my dad and Braxton was just what we liked. Our second is Victoria Kensley- Victoria after my mom and Kensley after his grandmother. And our third is Sawyer Riley- Sawyer is my husbands pick and Riley is my husbands name.

Ella Julie Elisabeth (sometimes Ellie)- Ella because I just loved that name and it is also my cousin's name. Julie because it is my best friend's name and she was with me the whole time. Elisabeth because it is my little sister's middle name.


Carlyn Olivia Rose (sometimes Carly)- Carlyn because it is my little sister's name. Olivia because I just loved that name and it sounded like it flowed well. And Rose because i think it is a pretty name and it is my husband's grandmother's name


Noah James Samuel - Noah because I think it such a sweet name, and I read the book The Notebook during the pregnancy and I fell in love with the name. James after my father and Samuel after my husband's brother.


Peyton Louise - Peyton and Sophie are twins both named after my other two best friends who were always there for me. Louise is after my grandmother.


Sophie Alice- Peyton and Sophie are twins both named after my other two best friends who were always there for me. Alice is after my husband's mother.


Jane Avery Catherine- Jane is in honor of my wonderful mother. Avery is my husband's grandmother's maiden name. Catherine is my grandmother's middle name.

Aurillia Faith. i love it...cant wait to put the name with the child. =]
Reply:Jacob Christopher... we both just loved the name Jacob and is it sorta after my husband's great uncle Jacques Plante, Canadian hockey goalie and inventor of the hockey mask (at least we are pretty sure they have relations, but hubby loves hockey...he never knew his great uncle at all) and Christopher is my husband's name.

Nora Diane for a girl- Diane is my husband's late mother and is also my mom's name....we also just adore the name Nora





Joseph Michael for a boy- Joseph is a name we love and is also my best guy friend of almost 20 years (since 1st grade) and Michael is my brother





I LOVE Bella May after my nana Maybelle- Chris doesn't like it





I also LOVE Lina Elizabeth... Lina after one of my great grandmas and Elizabeth after hubby's sister.

Reply:My son is Austin Tyler. His name was going to be Tyler but my mother in law thought it was cute how we were naming him after Kyler my stepfather in law and well I don't care for him to much and we changed his name to Austin Tyler.
Reply:My son's name is Austin - it was my mom's maiden name (she passed away last year when he was only 8 months old). My mom has 2 brothers, and they both had 2 girls, so basically the family name ends b/c there are no male children to carry on the name. I wanted to honor the family by carrying on the name - using it as my son's first name! Not exactly the same, but my grandfather is VERY proud that my son is named after "him". It's cute...

Lauren Ashlie - Lauren is named after my 5 year old sister that died.It is a variation on my sister's name Lori.I just liked the name Ashlie and thought it flowed well.





Brendan Alexander - just names we liked.





Jayson Leigh - Jayson is also just a name we liked.Leigh is his daddy's first name:)

My Husband wanted all "B's" after our first Son was born. All the middle names are after family. Richard is my Husband and Dad. Mae was my Husband's favorite Grandma and the one that raised him. Jerome is my late FIL, he passed in 2005.
Reply:My son is Called Toby Joseph Isaac... I was torn between that and Toby Joseph Ashton.. though know i wish i hadnt picked the names Joseph or Isaac as i dont like them anymore... i do still like Toby (Tobias) which is good though...





i picked the name as it was on an advert for iced mocha - called Kenco Cappio ages ago.

Reply:I don't have any kids but I know for a fact that when I have my first daughter I'm going to name her Rosalie Adelaide.


I first heard Rosalie when I read the book "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin, and to be honest, I didn't like it. But then I guess I kind of just got used to hearing it all the time when I read the "Twilight" Series, and the more I heard it/read it, the more it grew on me, and now I think it's the most beautiful name! I got Adelaide from the movie "Guys and Dolls" from the 1950's. I used to watch it all the time during the summer, and it was usually with a friend of mine who moved away... but I used to call her Adelaide, and so I thought it would be nice.





If I have a boy I want to name him Kellan Sawyer, and that's just because I love the name.





My family's not big on naming kids after people, but 'Adelaide' was very important to me. :)





Aww..! Leo Maddox is so adorable! Both of those names are on my favorite names list for boys!
