If a baby was found abandoned and brought to an orphanage, and no one was there to adopt him/her, is there a "default" name that is given to him/her by community services according to the American law? If so, what is it? (For both males and females).
Unknown children's names in the US?
Good question. The only "default" names I've known of would be John Doe or Jane Doe. I think the nurses or social workers end up coming up with the names, other than John or Jane Doe, but they're likely changed upon adoption.
Reply:i which i can help you but i don't really know about it
Reply:We had a baby brought into the hospital under the Safe Haven laws and left. The Case Workers named him Baby Matthew and that is on all his court documents.

Survey about your children's names?
I'm doing a study about names in our society and I would appreciate your help. Please do not use last names.
1. What is your name?
2. Where are you from (if you feel more comfortable simply giving your region, then do so)?
3. Would you consider yourself/your family working class, middle class, or upper class?
4. What are your children's names?
5. How did you learn about these names and what made you decide to choose them?
6. Have you ever been criticized for choosing these names?
Thank you!

Annabel Lee, Mariella Vanessa and Allaina Kathlynn.
Annabel Lee is from a poem written by Edgar Allan Poe of the same name. I read it in high school and have always loved it. Mariella's name was found after lots of searching. While I was pregnant I found myself always in the Mary section of the baby name books. I really liked all the variations but couldn't find one that I loved until one day it popped out at me in a new book. My husband got to choose her middle name, Vanessa, and I love it. Allaina, pronounced, A lay na, is just beautiful to me. Her middle name is after both my mother, Kathleen and my husbands mother, Linda, to make Kathlynn.
Now, Allaina's name was really hard to pick because if you'll notice my name has two L's and two N's. Annabel's name has double letters in each name and by coincidence so does Mariella's name. Because I'm really anal retentive!! I had to choose a name for a girl that followed suit. For some reason if we had a boy it wouldn't matter. I added an L to her first name which took awhile to get used to (I'm not one for mixing up spellings) and the extra N in Kathlynn, which I like better. Call me crazy - my husband did!! but it was very important to me that she not feel left out of the rest of the girls in the family.
Yes, I have been criticized. Mostly, family.

Are they old enough to write? I think it would be kind of cool if you had them write their own names, and then have the artist tattoo over that.

Will this name go well with my other children's names. . . .?
We just found out that our third child, is going to be a girl! ! A name we fell in love with is Camilla Elodie. Our other children's names are Jayden Leon %26amp; Adeline Mallorie. Do you think the names fit in well with eachother? Thanks x
Will this name go well with my other children's names. . . .?
I love Camilla Elodie and I definatley fits right in with the other names. And all of the names are really cute.
Camilla Elodie are names that are really classy, and elegant, but haven't become too popular yet. Good choice in names!
Reply:I think it goes lovely.
I love the nicknames from Camilla.
[Cam, Milla, Millie, Cammy] - gorgeous.
I
If you ever say their full names when introducing them,
Jayden Leon, Adeline mallorie %26amp; Camilla Elodie
the only problem you have is that Mallorie and Elodie rhyme.
I doubt you ever do that anyway, and if you did you could always say Adeline first, then Jayden, Then Camilla.
Jayden, Adeline %26amp; Camilla sound beautiful.
Jay, Adel %26amp; Cam/Millie also sound delightful.
I think you have chosen just beautiful names.
Congrats!
Reply:I dont know how to pronounce Elodie so im gonna put a no on that though I like your other childrens names!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Emarie Grace is really pretty and goes well with the other names because Jayden is really new %26amp; Adeline is really old so i think that name is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it fits with the other ones.
Camilla JaydeN and AdeliNe....
Sounds a bit weird to me when I say them together, but that's just me.
What about something that has a N in there somewhere?
Reply:I think it matches your other children's names perfectly. Camilla is really pretty, you could call her Cammy or Millie- both are cute!
I love your other children's names by the way.
They are unusual yet very nice.
Reply:I would like lindsay andrea..or Mara Camilla..or Cheighyenne Elodie..I like it!
Reply:I'm not trying to be rude, but I don't like any of your childrens names. They are all way too odd, so in that sense, I guess Camilla Elodie goes good.
Reply:I think that all three of those names sound great together!! They are all very cute names especially Camilla and Jayden.
Reply:Jayden, Adeline and Camilla...
Yep sounds good to me
x
Reply:Jayden, Adeline and Camilla
nothing wrong there. they look good together.
Reply:Yes, it goes very well with the other children's names.
Reply:Perfect :)
Reply:I certainly do!
Good luck to you and your growing family.
