How do I publish a children's book that has brand names in it?

I have written a lengthy children's poem which I want to publish as a children's book. The poem is full of brand names and trademaks and such. What is the legality of publishing such a work? What kind of permission would I need? My book may never get published, but I want to try and I want to do it right without getting sued! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Unless you are making adverse claims against the brand, (like a certain brand of cigarettes makes you fat.) I don't think you have to worry. Your publisher's legal department (when you get a good publisher) will check all of this for you. I would suggest you follow their advice.

Reply:I would come up with brand names that remind you of those brands so you dont have to worry about it. Otherwise, try and get in contact with the companies involved :)
