I like Sarah Palin a lot. I went to see her when she was here in Wisconsin.


She had unusual names for her kids...so what? At least they're not named Moon Unit (Zappa) or...





1. Moxie Crimefighter Jillette


Number one on our list has to be Moxie Crimefighter, daughter of comedian/magician Penn Jillette and his wife Emily. “We chose her middle name because when she's pulled over for speeding she can say, ‘But officer, we're on the same side,’” Jillette explained to CBS. “’My middle name is CrimeFighter.’” Okay, seriously, what girl would not want this awesome name?





2. Pilot Inspektor


Actor Jason Lee of “My Name is Earl” fame played the name game with Beth Riesgraf when they chose the unique moniker Pilot Inspektor Riesgraf Lee for their boy. The name is apparently inspired by a song entitled "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot" by the band Grandaddy.





3. Kal-el Coppola Cage


Nicolas and Alice Cage chose a super name for their super kid. Kal-El was reportedly selected because the big-time movie star is also a big-time Superman comic fan. The name Coppola is from Cage’s Uncle, director Francis Ford Coppola.





3. Apple Blythe Alison Martin


Come on - of course Apple had to make the list! Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and lead singer Chris Martin of Coldplay are parents to this little sweetie. The name Blythe is not so hard to figure out, given her grandma is actress Blythe Danner - and Alison is for Chris' mum.





4. Kyd Miller Duchovny


“X-Files” star David Duchovny and actress Tea Leoni chose this unique and rather on-the-nose name for their kid: Kyd Miller Duchovny. (The boy apparently goes by "Miller." Maybe all the children on the playground turned around when they used his first name…)





5. Destry Allyn Spielberg


Director Steven Spielberg and wife actress Kate Capshaw named their daughter Destry. Was it inspired by the classic Western film "Destry Rides Again"?





6. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt


Superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt chose the biblical name Shiloh for their first biological child. Brother Maddox also has a striking name.





7. Memphis Eve Hewson


Irish rocker Bono of U2 has four children, and memphis Eve may be the most uniquely named. Sister Jordan and brothers Elijah Bob Patricius and John Abraham keep her company. Hewson is Bono’s - really Paul's - last name.





8. Ocean Whittaker


“The Last King of Scotland” star Forest Whitaker — uniquely named himself — chose a more aquatic alias for his son Ocean. Ocean is joined by siblings Sonnet, True and Autumn. Whitaker explains, “I want those names to be their destiny, for my daughter to be honest and my son to be expansive. I try to be like a forest, revitalizing and constantly growing."





9. Kingston Rossdale


The already fashionable son of rockers Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale is nearly two years old, and was said to be named for the Jamaican capital city. SheKnows recently reported that Kingston is set to have a sibling. Sing a song about sharing, Gwen!





10. Gaia Romilly Wise


British actors Greg Wise and Emma Thompson used “Sense and Sensibility” when they named their daughter Gaia Romilly Wise. The famous kid shares a name with Gaia, the Greek earth goddess.
