My friends don't like my children's names?

I'm a widower and a mom of 4.My new friends say my children have too long names.Is that true and if so,it that bad?My name's Natalie Rose Davidson.


My children are:





Miccaela Elizabeth Kaelynn Yvette Davidson (age 9)


Emmalee Jacklynn Rachel Yvonne Davidson (age 6)


and the twins


Christina Cathryn Haylee Amyleen Davidson (age 5)


Ann Davidson (age 5)

My friends don't like my children's names?
It's not for other people to judge! If thats what you like for your children, then thats your choice. friends just have to accept it. maybe they don't realise that it offends you when they criticise you for giving your kids long names. just tell them that thats what you like and your children are happy so mind their own business!

They aren't worth it. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into your children's names. As did my family, and my name consists of a lot of my families names!!!

Three middle names for each child is excessive and just selfish on the parent's part, if you ask me. And why would you give each child three and poor 'lil Ann got none?

Reply:In the event that you are telling the truth (which is doubtful), Those names are way too long. And what's the deal with one twin getting a massively long name, and the other getting a really short name. Not too mention you've spelled a lot of those names a bit ridiculously.

maybe you should consider letting the kids pick their fave middle name and go to court to change/drop the names.

Reply:Your "new friends" are making a judgment based on their own opinions. You have the right to bless your children with any name or names you like or decide. It's a personal and individual choice. You go, mom, and feel good about it. I think those are very pretty names, and that's my personal opinion! Good luck, and I hope that helps you.

Really it dose not matter how long or short a name is. Plus it is no ones business but yours.





My children's names are quite long as each child has an individual name and two family names.





The only advice I took was from my father who told me:


If you have a boy give him a mans name. If you have a girl give her a beautiful name.





By using family names I have given my kids a link to their families past.





I don't explain my choices to any one. Neither should you. You chose your children's names with love and care. No one has the right to say that their names are wrong for you or them.





You love your kids and that is all that matters.

Reply:You do not have to and should not feel bad about what you have named your children. You picked something that you like and it is not for others to decide. I think that if your friends have a problem with your kids names then maybe you do not have very good friends.
Reply:Well, your children's names are a little long for my taste but they're pretty names and good combinations. Don't worry what they think. These are your four little girls and obviously you like those names. I've always thought people should do what makes them happy when it comes to naming their children.
