How did you pick your children's names?

My daughters are Abigail Rose-Renee %26amp; Phoebe Lynn.

Abby's name came from reading a romance novel and her middle name was a tough one. I couldn't decide between my grandma's and my sister's middle names.

Phoebe was suppose to be Lucy until my husband held her and everyone called her Little Lucy. I just blurted out her name is Phoebe! (big Charm fan too) Her middle name came from my other sister.

How did you pick your children's names?
Naming my first was a huge decision but somehow we came back to the name that was tops on both my husband's list and mine! My son is Noah William and he was named Noah because we love the name, are HUGE animal lovers, and my first job was with NOAA.....William was a name that belonged to late uncles in both of our families so it meant a lot to my dad (his brother who died in 1991) and my FIL (his favorite uncle who died a couple of years ago.) Our girl name was Alison and we just liked it. If we have a second child, it will (probably) be Henry Grayson (my grandfather's first name and my hubby's grandfather's middle name) or Anya Isabel (my great-aunt's name and then I just like Isabel a lot!) It is nice to be able to have a story..which was why I liked some of the names I do. your kids names are lovely BTW!
Reply:I like Latino names and the spelling of the names looks more,

"ethnic". Oaxquin, Mareano, Deago
Reply:well i say use your name backwards and mix up your husbands or your name if its a boy, but i used mine and it sounds awesome, ex. yanira, i chose my daughter ariyani i just added a "i" and i luv how it sounds try it.
Reply:Go through the baby book and try to find an Irish name that isn't in our family already... that is quite hard. Then the middle name is usually the name of a grandpa or grandma... for my first boy we used the same middle name as my husband though. This one is going to have the middle name be the first name of his great grandfather.
Reply:My son is Sean Vincent....it just came to me within an hour of when I first started thinking of names. I wanted a single syllable first name and 2 syllable middle, and knew I wanted an Italian middle name and Irish first name. Sean Vincent was the first name pair that stuck. I tossed around some other names, but kept coming back to that name....so I decided that would be his name unless when he was born he just did not look like a Sean. When he was born, the name suited him well.
Reply:my son- Noah Reece

my daughter- Nina Raine

It was raining, which accounts for Raine and Noah (the flood)

Nina came from being called nina (spanish for little girl) by my hispanic grandmother, i loved being called that, and Reece was from the cravings for reeces peanut butter cups i had

our newest addition- my nephew and godson- my sister named him Skye Fallyn (she wanted all irish names)

oh, and my name, oddly enough, is Evening Rain, which i shortened to Evie-Rain, then just Evie
