Can you help name a children's book about playgrounds?

Sometime in the 80s (or maybe early 90s) my grandparents had a children's book about different kinds of playgrounds. It described parks and playgrounds in the city and the country. One had water fountains, one had lots of space to run, one was small and didn't have any grass, one had a grill to cook on, etc. It was a picture book maybe 20 pages long or so. No one in my family could remember anything about it. I loved the illustrations and thought my son - who loves parks - would like it too.

I love this book, my parents used to read this to me every single night before I would go to sleep.





"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."
Reply:That's "I Love You Forever". It's an excellent book. I couldn't read it to my kids without crying each time. It's an excellent book to give to a new mom. It's a reminder of how precious our children are and how special the bond between parent and child is.

Reply:Yep, the others are exactly right--Little Golden Books. You can still get them; they're published by Random House Publishing. (Still have a box of them in the garage from when my kids were little--never gonna get rid of them!)

IT is the Six Wrinkled Woos- I own Chinese Shar Peis and have had the book for over 13 years. It is very valuable now! The cover had a velvet texture that is modled to look like the skin of a shar pei. Thanks for bringing back memories!!!!! Good luck finding it!

If the child likes scary stories, there is also the Choose Your Own Nightmare series. Also, there is the Forgotten Forest series, which is mystical/fantasy based.
